50,000 watts of Lister Power WBAI-99.5fm New York. This is the best New Music Show presently introduced on Pacifica's WBAI. BurnBabyBurn was smuggled in the dark lonely early morning of June 13 2002 at 4 am est. GMT onto the airwaves 99.5 FM and WBAI.org. This was a major feat in World History due to the fact that it was this New York Pacifica radio station that threw Lister's First Radio Show into the garbage in the summer of 1969 when Wbai-99.5fm was in a church in midtown, money making, Manhattan. WBAI blew it historically. Lister gave them the opportunity to permanently change the current direction of reggae music then. Obviously Lister was to far advanced for Pacifica's WBAI. This has been documented by his major and permanent accomplishments during his heroic tenure at Island Records. The evidence lies in the hearts of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Lee Perry, Max Romeo, Judy Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths, Rita Marley, LKJ, Black Uhuru Michael Rose and more. Nine years plus at Island Records. Such facts never die they're just avoided.
This important bit of Reggae history will be detailed in Lister's book next year, but for now one must be supportive of Mr. Bernard White, who did the right thing by putting Lister on the air. Mr. Bernard White accomplished what the famous P.D. Sumari Marxman of WBAI did, when Marxman died during the process of putting Lister on the air. Maxman wanted Lister to bring his *"World Wide 5DRM-Reggae Marathon" to WBAI-99.5fm to be heard on both WUSB/WBAI. Now, Bernard White plans to do better than that.
The first summer day of 2004 Bernard White will have WBAI's BurnBabyBurn/Clappers pay annual tribute to the "world's longest running reggae show." This special 24 hr. reggae simulcast will be broadcast on a Saturday, live from 120 Wall Street, from the studios of WBAI-99.5fm. This is important for WBAI so that they can expand to reach a geographically broader area, such as Montauk Point, the Hamptons, and more of Connecticut. This is done in real time. Now no one will be able to top that and "you at" this Clapperzine are the first to known, so spread this on the internet & chat sites around the world - lets make this a celebration of the good reggae music that's not played anywhere.
After the tragic and sudden death of WBAI's late P.D. Sumari Maxman, came the coup that stopped Lister again, eliminating all opportunity for a progressive show as radical as Lister!Live995. With non-backward people such as Bernard White, Robert Knight, the brilliant Amy Goodman of "Democracy Now," rightfully taking back 99.5fm WBAI radio station, wusb/Wbai's - Lister tries again. "I had nothing to lose," says WBAI/WUSB's Lister. "One tried, in 1970, to syndicate Lister's radio show and got ripped off. One hopes with this Clappers web site, the longest running reggae web site in the world, will spend Clapperz time discussing this ASAP. After giving up the money, get them to give you copies of his radio shows, at WUSB & WBAI as a premium for your membership support. Then call WUSB at 613-632-6901 and pledge another $250US (or get a friend to pledge) for copies of both of his Reggae shows. The reason why you should get this is because, in the future, there will be no evidence of this. No one will write about these important reggae facts. You & only you will have the real history of reggae music as Lister lives it and faithfully shares his reggae life with you.
The world needs Lister on radio now more than ever. Only Community non-commercial WBAI/WUSB can guarantee this not clear channel, not Hot-97 in New York, not WLIR-FM, in White Landia, Long Island, New York, WLIB-1190 am, New York's Power 105 FM, XM Satellite or Sirius Radio.

New York. this Jamaican heritage book has no Literature Sensibilities , e.g. mixing up NPR with Pacifica makes no Sense. the Alleged book would have made Sense if it just said " on a clear day in Key West you can not only hear Clint O'Neil aka Neil Love from WHBI- New York, ... the writer not only cannot write but what the hell is the point of this book?? is it just to prove that any 1 can write a reggae book , hello!! lets get real.
