Poet Linton Kwesi Johnson has announced his upcoming U.S. tour with Dennis Bovel and the Dub Band. The tour comes on the heels of the U.S. release of the highly acclaimed album "More Time".
Dubbed Britain's "poet laureate", LKJ is celebrating more than twenty years since the release of his seminal work "Dread Beat An' Blood", followed by "Forces of Victory", "Bass Culture", "Making History" and "Tings An' Times"- each of which received similar accolades. "Independant Intavenshan" an anthology of his work at Island Records was released in 1998.
The U.S. tour is scheduled to take place between Oct. 19th thru Oct.30th. The tour dates as well as locations and venues are as follows:
